Privacy Policy

When you create or answer a connection: your nickname, relationship (before a first date, getting closer, in a relationship or friends), and the answers you select for seven questions.

Automatically: we store AI-generated results, the creation time, a hash of the IP address, and hashes of random participation-verification keys on our server together with the connection information. The Heart7 database does not store original IP addresses or original keys.

On the web, original keys are stored in participation-verification cookies whose names begin with h7k_. The iOS and Android apps store original keys and the “My connections” list on your device. Uninstalling the app does not delete connections or hashes on the server; they remain until separately deleted or their retention period ends. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs or advertising identifiers. When you choose a language on the web, a functional language-preference cookie (heart7_lang) stores only your selected language code (ko, en, es, id, vi, ja or th) to set the language when you first open a page. This preference is not stored in the database or used for advertising or analytics.

We do not collect accounts, names, phone numbers, email addresses, photos or location. Please do not put your real name or contact details in your nickname.

We compare the two participants’ answers to generate assessments from seven generations, connect the participants through a link, prevent abuse through measures such as daily usage limits, and check errors. We do not combine this information with advertising data or membership information from other services.

Anyone with a connection link (heart7.kr/p/…) can see both participants’ nicknames, selected answers and results. Please keep this in mind when sharing a link.

Before the other participant answers, we do not show them the creator’s answers. Connection pages are not listed in search engines.

OpenAI (United States): we send nicknames, the relationship and selected answers to check nickname safety and generate AI assessments. We also send assessment text for safety checks. To prevent abuse, we send the connection creator’s IP hash as a safety identifier (safety_identifier). OpenAI does not use information received through its API for training by default. Abuse-monitoring logs are generally retained for up to 30 days; they may be retained longer for reasons such as legal obligations.

Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting) provide connection storage and service operations.

Before you submit answers, we explain the recipients, information to be sent and who can see it, and ask for your consent. If you do not consent, you can cancel the transfer, but we cannot generate an assessment using OpenAI.

Nicknames, the relationship, selected answers, results, the creation time, IP hashes and participation-key hashes stored on our server become eligible for automatic deletion 90 days after the connection was created. Because cleanup runs daily, deletion may take up to one additional day. If a participant selects “Delete this connection” or “Delete result” earlier, we delete this information together from the server.

Web participation-verification cookies expire 90 days after they are issued. Original keys and the “My connections” list stored on an app device are removed when the app is uninstalled. OpenAI’s separate retention periods are described in Section 4. The language-preference cookie expires after at most one year, and you can delete it in your browser at any time.

On a device used to participate in the connection, select “Delete this connection” or “Delete result” on that connection’s screen. This deletes both participants’ answers and results together.

The same buttons (“Delete this connection” and “Delete result”) are available in the app.

If the button is unavailable because you cleared your cookies or are using another device, send the connection link to namurobori@gmail.com. We will delete the data after verification.

Heart7 is only available to people aged 14 or older. If you believe information belongs to a child under 14, please tell us. We will delete it promptly.
